The flood of information that everyday, passes our eyes, brought the artist Chloe Bass to my attention. In a park, she held her Wayfinding exhibition where you could find works like a mirrored billboard that reflects the blue sky and white clouds, and asks “How much of love is attention?”
My brain took a deep dive, reflecting on the current social dynamics seduced towards a system where attention is profitable; while posing a tricky conundrum for us to be more empathetic towards others. We relate and yet we struggle to connect. Life is hard to everyone and giving love may feel like taking something from some of us. With bare pockets and aspiration for a normal life that gets diluted in the static of passing years. While chewing up our time away with rarely informative entertainment; we barely let ourselves sink in at a slower pace. One after the other, the repetition led us to exhaustion.
Paying attention to something, spending time to embrace the phonetics of your surroundings… Weather that is a cracking autumn leaf or a spoken word.
This text was not set to be read and get done it. Was an invite to slow you down. To see something different. That breaks the norm… but just enough. Enough to make you stop—and pay attention to what comes after reading this.

Sentimos o mesmo, João. Incrível ver um pensamento assim traduzido por um companheiro, designer talentoso e bom escritor.
